Its week 16 everybody! Only about three weeks until we will find out if our little one is a he or she! This week baby is the size of an avocado. This week has been much better on the hormonal front. Instead of taking Tylenol for my daily headaches, I have resorted to caffeine. I know that the limit for caffeine is about 200mg per day during pregnancy and not being a huge coffee drinker anyway, I am well below the limit. I drink about 95mg per day and it has miraculously made my headaches disappear. I never really drank coffee or pop or anything that had a ton of caffeine in it pre-pregnancy so I am positive that my headaches are not related to caffeine withdrawal. I haven’t had pop in years and coffee was a less than once/week occurrence. I have been moody still this week but not as bad. Nausea isn’t constant but once in a while I will get a little pang of it. It usually goes right away but I don’t ever remember having that with the boys. Food aversions are still a thing – I’m starting to think that they will stick around for the rest of the pregnancy. I’m still cold all the time, which makes me despise this winter weather. Something really fun that I have noticed this week – and if I think back, probably since New Years day – is quickening. I feel baby move daily. It has been somewhat consistent on time of day, usually around 10am and again in the early evening. I can’t wait until I feel the full-on kicks and rolls! We have started to get the nursery underway, though decor will have to wait a few more weeks. I’ll go into that in a separate post. So far this week has been a great one! I can’t wait to see what is to come!
