When They Don’t Believe

I read this really neat article that one of my friends had shared on social media the other day, and it comes just in time for Christmas. To sum it up, its an article about how to handle the day your child no longer believes in Santa Claus. This particular family has a tradition to take the child out on a one-on-one breakfast “date” where the parent asks the child if they would like to become a Santa. It is an extremely clever way to break the news to a child while not leaving them feel lied to, and keep that Christmas spirit alive. Have a read for yourself! I’m definitely going to do this when my kids come of age.
