Its been a while since I’ve shared a recipe with you all. So today I am going to share a three ingredient recipe for pulled pork. Pulled pork is really versatile. You can make pulled pork sandwiches, tacos, pizza, mac and cheese, the list goes on and on. You can google what to do with leftover pulled pork and find all kinds of recipes. It is also a one pot dinner with minimal hands-on time.
What you’ll need:
- 1 boneless pork shoulder
- one packet lipton onion soup mix
- 1/4C brown sugar
Get out your crock pot/slow cooker and place your roast inside. Make sure you cut the strings off before cooking. Pour in the dry onion soup mix and the brown sugar. Add water to the pot until the meat is covered. Cook on high for 6+ hours or until the meat is falling apart. I like to cook it overnight or while I’m at work. It isn’t done until you can’t pick up the meat with a pair of tongs and leave it in one piece. Shred the pork and drain some of the excess water, leaving just enough to keep the meat moist.
Now its up to you what you do with it. We usually do barbecue sandwiches by mixing a portion of the meat with Cookie’s barbecue sauce. Leftovers are great for pork tacos!
