We made it to the half way point! Only 140 days to go! If you missed my last post with the gender reveal, go read it so I don’t spoil it for you! Baby brother is the length of a banana this week and at the ultrasound, weighed in at 11.59 ounces! He is perfect in every way and I feel so blessed that he is healthy. I also found out that I have an anterior placenta (its not a problem). I had a feeling that I did because I haven’t felt strong movements from the outside very much and they are usually very low when I do feel them. I can feel him like crazy all over the place inside though. So that is kind of sad that I will have to get a lot bigger before we will be able to see and feel him all the time. Sylas had a fundal placenta and I felt him so much at this point with my hand on my belly. We are both so happy and I am so excited to see how Sylas bonds with his brother!
In other news, I have been having more frequent Braxton Hicks lately. It varies with the amount of activity that I do but I notice them more often. I still crave fruit and all of a sudden I really want ice cream (I don’t normally enjoy ice cream, I have to be in the mood for it). My appetite is also going up. This morning I weighed in at 120.8lbs and even though lots of articles say that you should gain ten pounds by now, I feel this is a great weight for me to be at, especially because I was a little heavier than I would have liked to be pre-pregnancy.
We have already started re-arranging the rooms around so that Sylas and baby brother will share a room and have a play room too. I will get a post up today or tomorrow with before pictures of Sylas’ room and once we get things switched around, I will do an update post to show you how it ended up!
