I got this recipe from my mom who got it from my Aunt. Someone always made this salad for our family gatherings and it is YUMMY! Its kind of like a desert lasagna!

Ingredients:

• 2 C crushed pretzels
• 3 Tbsp sugar
• 1 stick melted butter
• 18 oz package cream cheese
• 1 C powdered sugar
• 12 oz cool whip
• 2 C boiling water
• 2 3 oz packages strawberry jello mix
• 2 10 oz tubs frozen straawberries

Directions:

• Mix together crushed pretzels, sugar and melted butter and press into 9×13 pan
• Bake @ 400 for 7-10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool
• Mix cream cheese, cool whip and powdered sugar until smooth
• Spread cream cheese mix over top of pretzels
• Mix together boiling water and jello. Add frozen strawberries and stir until slightly jelled
• Spread jello mix over cream cheese mix
• Top with cool whip and garnish with crushed pretzels and refrigerate
