Rainbow Week 6

So this week has been a not so good week. Don’t worry, as far as I can tell, baby is fine. I just feel really awful. Since last Sunday, I have had full blown morning sickness. It is worse when I get up earlier than 8 and lasts all day long. I try to force myself to eat but nothing sounds good to me. Eating helps ease it up a little but it still likes to linger. I have a hard time drinking anything but water and pink lemonade. Day by day it has progressively gotten worse. I feel exhausted all the time and I have no desire to get out of bed in the morning. I have acid reflux and a lot of mucus in my nose which are also probably making everything worse. I smell everything. Even the color of my nail polish bothers me today. I find that very odd, but just looking at them makes me sick. Needless to say, I have been picking it off. I am getting the pregnancy brain already. Part of it is probably because I am tired. I am still having the restless nights but they are slowly improving. I get wore out very quickly. Just going upstairs at home takes my breath away. I am really thirsty but drinking too much at a time makes me nauseated. As far as symptoms, that pretty much covers it.
Now for a bit of interesting news. Monday I did a beta hcg and it came back 34,242. The normal range for 5 weeks is 1,200-1,800 but anything up to 10,000 is considered normal. So mine is very high for my gestational age. I was freaking out about molar pregnancies and blighted ovum. I am really anxious for my appointment Wednesday so I can finally get an ultrasound. There is a free clinic here where we live but I don’t think they do U/S until I’m further along. Its just a small non profit family planning clinic so they can’t do much.  Plus they will only do one per person and I was hoping to save it for later on. Anyway, I am nervous about it but the only way to know for sure is with my U/S on Wednesday. I think that I will cut it short today because I am starting to feel sick…er. I will add a belly pic after work today. ttyl!
